About Barry

As a third-generation diamond and fine jewelry expert, Barry Zale knows this business.

A graduate of the Marine Military Academy, Zale attended the University of Texas in Austin, with further studies at St. Edwards University.

From 1974 to 1986, he worked at Zale Corporation, then the world's largest retail jeweler. Living and working in 24 states and 14 countries, Barry held various positions from Store Manager to Regional Vice President of Store Operations, Diamond Grading/Cutting/Polishing; as well as Vice President of Product Services in the corporation's New York offices.

In 1988 , Barry Zale served as Co-President of Capitol Entertainment, a Blockbuster Video franchisee for the Washington D.C. metropolitan area. During that time, Capitol Entertainment grew from a single store to over 100 stores, becoming the largest domestic franchise in the Blockbuster Video system.

From 1995 to 2003. Barry returned to the jewelry business as owner of Barry Zale Fine Jewelry, a Guild level jewelry and giftware store located in Dallas Texas. (It was also not affiliated with Zale Jewelers).

His civic associations include service on the Board of Reeds Jewelers, a publicly traded corporation; Golden Acres, Jewish Family Service of Dallas; the Marine Military Academy; and Zale Foundations, to name a few.

Zale and his wife, Cindy, reside in Dallas, Texas and are the parents of Ben, Molly, Matthew, Betsy, Jourdan, and Taylor.
